News Update:
Summer NAMM Show a BIG success!
We are pleased to report a great response
from everyone at the Summer NAMM Show. Nashville welcomed us with true
southern hospitality not to mention, some of the best guitarists in
the world. The first day of the show set the tone for the weekend, with
tons of players, media, and industry reps crowding our booth to see
first hand what all the buzz was about.. Of course I'm talking about
the "World's 1st Concrete Block Guitar". Sounds like another
silly gimmick, right? So why all the fuss? Anyone who has ever been
to a big show knows that there is no shortage of silly gimmicks. Well
the concrete block guitar wasn't the product, but merely a demonstration
tool to show just how incredibly well the Lashbrook Naturacoustic™
piezo bridge (acoustic pickup) works on even the worst possible guitar.
Because the Naturacoustic bridge is made from tone woods and features
a unique patent pending method of resonance transfer, the bridge itself
creates the acoustic resonance necessary to produce an authentic acoustic
tone on a solid body guitar (or even a concrete block).
"We've
seen a growing interest in hybrid guitars within the last few years
and it seems that everyone is jumping onboard. The idea of being able
to flip a switch or turn a knob and go from an "electric"
sound to an "acoustic" sound really appeals to a lot of musicians."
said John Lashbrook, V.P. "The Naturacoustic™ piezo bridge
opens up a world of natural, high quality acoustic and jazz tones on
your favorite solid body without sacrificing one ounce of electric tone.
It'll make your guitar the ultimate hybrid without any of the usual
drawbacks."
Visitors
to the Lashbrook Guitars booth were given the opportunity to play our
22.5 lb "acoustic" guitar or sit back and listen to a demonstration
from one of our talented players, Victor LaFrance, Jimmy Knouse and
Nate Dickinson. Jaws dropped, pictures were taken, and business cards
were exchanged. No one could believe that this "gimmick" actually
sounded GREAT!
Of
course we had the Naturacoustic™ bridge installed on our line
of custom Lashbrook LTH-1 guitars and also on a number of les paul,
335, and arch-top style demo guitars so that players could try it out
in various applications.
"We
take pride in the fact that this is a very low-tech device." said
John "My father's ingenious design allows this bridge to resonate
like an acoustic guitar and create genuine acoustic tones. It's simple
but it's brilliant ...a complete departure from what the market has
seen in the past for solid body guitars."
So
it's official, the launch of the Naturacoustic™ piezo bridge at
Summer NAMM was a tremendous success for Lashbrook Guitars. Among the
crowd of curious visitors throughout the weekend were some notable players,
Harold
Bradley, Rick
Derringer, Tommy
Tutone, Lance
Martin,
Gary
Morse, Dan
Schafer, Fred
Newell,
Lane Turner, and Donny Castleman.
Anyone who took the time to check out the Naturacoustic™ bridge
and fill out an evaluation survey became eligible for a drawing to win
